monday monday, so good to me. love that song! hope everyone had a nice weekend. i was up in vermont and have a few new paintings to share - "franklin & eleanore", and "bird house". both just listed in my shop. i hope to have a new collection of images to share later today, but for now...off to music class with my boy. and the sun is shining!!

big dreams for fox

soon to be listed! i just finished this painting on an old canvas of my mother's that i used once as a pallete. i am generally happy with how it turned out, but i also like it because the canvas is old, and it is fun to think of my mother as a young woman purchasing it somewhere in the 50s. i have a few more of her canvases that i have also used as palletes in my studio in vermont. i think i'll keep at least one. we'll see.

this is chuck

meet chuck. my sister's dog chuck was a cherished member of our family for years. those of you who have, or are acquainted with pugs will understand that although they are small, pugs have huge personalities. we've had and have a number of pugs in our family, but chuck and his cousin won ton were extra special to me in that they were among the first subjects i ever painted. i've been taking advantage of this gorgeous sunny day by doing a little re-photographing of some of my prints and got to reminiscing a bit about old chuck. thought i'd share his little round image with you just for fun. have a wonderful weekend!
