golden pine

the latest in teeny tiny... but wait! there's more in my etsy shop. :)

i heart you

so here i am scrabbling together another treasury (i don't think scrabbling is an official word, is it? well, if not it should be), and again i am musing that those little treasury boxes are too small to show off some of the amazing finds here! i know i have posted some of these shops before, one or maybe even two times - OK maybe three - i'm guilty. but what can i say? i have my favorites, :). without further ado, from top to bottom: "giant brandy snifters" at uncommoneye (aren't they fabulous?!), "fox on black no. 1" by feaverish, "i heart you" by courtneyoquist, "1960s wool hat in cocoa" at jessjamesjake, "hummingbird 3 - 4 x 4 panel print" by mincingmockingbird, "organic french pet lobster shirt - dijon" by xenotees, "vintage letter W or M" at bluebellbazaar, "vintage wine plaid 60s wool dress coat" at the brand new missmodish, "personalized bowl in gift box" by twotreesbelgium, and "cranberry suede and wood stacked heels" at thrush.

home sweet home

i have been hard at work on some new teeny tiny paintings that will soon be listed in my etsy shop. "home sweet home" is one of my favorites so far. when i was growing up i lived in an old colonial that really looked quite similar to this little house. in the backyard we had a big old catalpa tree with a swing. oh, how i loved that tree! it will always feel like home to me.

winter wonderland

i know it's early for this, but i thought i'd just attempt to generate a little wintery holiday excitement. most of these shops are new to me and a couple are old favorites. i found so many pretty things for this post that i expanded it into a treasury on etsy. take a peek if you get a moment, :). from top to bottom: "vintage christmas in connecticut coat" at nodtomodvintage, "little chickadee" by naturemandalas, "gray gloves" by moocowhandknits, "ghost elephant on organic alternative american apparel tee" by rctees, "winter III" by helengotlib, and "trio of russian blues" by jamieshelman.

gypsy holiday

happy monday morning to you. one of my favorite shops - baboucherouge - is the inspiration behind today's post. felicita sala has designed a gorgeous limited edition set of christmas cards that are individually watercolored by hand. there are two sets to choose from, each has the same imagery but the colors are slightly different. better scoop these up quick! as well as the other wonderful gypsy inspired items that are all available on etsy. from top to bottom: "christmas card pack B" by babouchrouge, "gypsy mystique - antique sterling sliver filigree ring" by midnightgypsy, "beyond - gray trench coat" by cocoricooo, "sanguine noir earrings" by katinkapinka, and "gypsy wind" by kimdow.

i love tiny houses (and skyscrapers)

i really do. i don't know why. i can only speculate that it's a love related to memories of childhood and a safer time & place...where i had absolutely no responsibilities. just a guess. these are a few of my recent favorites. p.s. the great thing about seasprayblue's skyscraper is that it's a template for a cardboard model that you can make at home. now how fun is that? from top to bottom: "alice 2" by olivedear, "skyscraper - cardboard model" by seasprayblue, "a little home 7" by kelseydugan, and "green and blue house" by maryosmundsen. have a great weekend!

lovely, dark and deep

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

- from "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" by Robert Frost

well, obviously robert frost says it better than i ever could, :). from top to bottom: "fungus among us" necklace by budpnq, "moorland tree" original painting by hilltoppaintings, "green wood hand printed zipper pouch" by folk, "little spruce tree" by littlereddoor, and "sheltered" print by shirae.

smokey gray tuesday

there is a very distinctive mood about this bunch, don't you agree? somewhat mysterious, somewhat nostalgic...i am not sure exactly how to put my finger on it but i sure do like it. i think this color palette is beautiful, and very november, :). from top to bottom: "moon pearls vintage button cocktail ring" by calloohcallay, "sometimes" by the lovely erintyner, "rusty earrings" by etco, "reversible tube scarf" by hierapparel, and "town meeting" by one of my favorite favorites, urbandesign.
