cliche but true for me. i met my husband at this time of year and the memories i have of that christmas and new years' eve are magical - they really do sparkle with christmas lights. :) this will be my last post until after the holiday. i hope you all have a happy one! from top to bottom: "little green houses" by copperinc, "a man with strong eyes" artbyelizabethbauman, "ferris wheel no. 3" by feaverish, "waiting for the rain" by prettylittlethieves, "letters to you" by paperiaarre, and "grapefruit mint blend - soy wax candle" by oakmoss.

i came across this photo of mudpuppy's "little white house" this morning and thought how beautiful such a simple concept can be. i am hoping to do a lot of relaxing by the fire and even painting in my studio over christmas break. lots of hustle and bustle here in the city at christmas time which is fun - but also a little hectic and crazy. it will be nice to be in vermont slowing down for a bit. only one more week of hustle and bustle to go! hope all of you enjoying the season as much as i am. p.s. see my treasury "olive you christmas time" for more simple christmas time beauty.

oh, the weather outside is frightful...actually, it's really beautiful here in boston today - about 50 degrees or so, and sunny! it feels very strange. i'm not letting the weather interfere with my christmas-time enthusiasm, however. i came across a couple of these absolutely beautiful items this morning while browsing etsy over a cup of tea. i have a new treasury percolating, :). from top to bottom: "vintage minimalist - three light bare bulb pendant" by kamlampcompany, "haus ornament set" by filzfelt, "low wide coper man ray verity" by jillrosenwald, "feathery" by ifihadwords, and "let it snow typographic cutout christmas card" by pocketstudio.
